Arrive with clean skin—no makeup, SPF, or skincare products on the treatment area.
Avoid sweating on the day of the procedure.
Wear appropriate clothing—please avoid wearing your best clothes as there may be slight pigment splatter during the procedure.

No caffeine or alcohol—these can thin the blood and affect the healing process.
Eat a well-balanced meal before your appointment to maintain energy levels.
Hydrate—drink plenty of water for optimal skin health.

Avoid blood thinners (Aspirin, Advil/Ibuprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish/Primrose Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, and “Hair, Skin, and Nail” supplements). Tylenol is OK.
Avoid aggressive exfoliation around the treatment area.

No tanning— *if you arrive with sunburn or noticeable tan lines, your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and you will forfeit your scheduling fee.
No chemical exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs, retinol) on the treatment area.
If you plan to wax, shave, or thread the area, do so at least 1 week prior to avoid irritation.

No antibiotics—schedule any necessary antibiotics well in advance.

No Botox or fillers in the treatment area for at least 4 weeks before your appointment.
Avoid exfoliation and retinol products in the treatment area for one month before and after your procedure.
No microdermabrasion or chemical peels (including Glycolic, Pumpkin, Alpha Hydroxy, and Salicylic Acid) for one month before and after.
Avoid laser facials (ablative and non-ablative, such as Fraxel, CO2, and IPL) on the treatment area for at least 1 month before and after.

• No open wounds – If there are any open wounds near the eye area, please reschedule your appointment. *The scheduling fee will be forfeited if we have to cancel due to open wounds.
• Choose the right time – Allow time for healing before any special events or vacations.
• Exfoliate & moisturize your skin – It’s important to have hydrated and exfoliated skin before the procedure to ensure better pigment retention. Moisturize your skin daily for 3-4 days prior to your appointment.
• Wash your hair – You’ll need to keep the treated area dry, so it’s recommended to wash your hair before your appointment.
• Bring reference photos – If you have a specific freckle look or placement in mind, bring pictures to show your technician. Be sure to have realistic expectations regarding the look and density of the freckles.
