I take every step necessary to create a safe, comfortable, and luxurious experience for you—one where you can feel confident not only in your results but in the care and attention given to your health.
To achieve the most beautiful, long-lasting results, we need to ensure you’re an ideal candidate for the procedure. Please take a moment to review these guidelines carefully. If you have any medical conditions listed below, we’ll work together to determine the best path forward—whether that means obtaining medical clearance, adjusting your treatment plan, or postponing until the timing is right.

Contraindications
💎 Below is a categorized list of health conditions and factors that may impact your eligibility for permanent makeup. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in your procedure being rescheduled or cancelled.
⚠ Yes, If Well-Controlled (Medical Clearance Can Be Waived)
Clients with these conditions may proceed without a doctor’s note if they confirm their condition is stable and sign a waiver acknowledging the risks. However, it is your responsibility to be honest about your health condition.
• Alopecia → ⚠ Pigment retention may vary.
• Anemia → ⚠ Pigment may heal lighter.
• Circulatory Problems → ⚠ Healing may be slower.
• Diabetes (Type 1 & 2 - Controlled with Medication/Diet) → ⚠ Blood sugar levels must be stable.
• Fainting Spells or Dizziness → ⚠ Must stay hydrated and acknowledge risk.
• High Blood Pressure (Controlled with Medication) → ⚠ Must confirm stability.
• Hormone therapy → May affect pigment retention and skin sensitivity.
• Liver Disease (Mild/Stable Condition) → ⚠ Must confirm stability.
• Low Blood Pressure → ⚠ Must confirm stability.
• Prone to cold sores/fever blisters → Take an anti-viral (e.g., Valtrex) before the procedure to prevent and outbreak.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis → ⚠ Condition must be controlled; healing may be slower.
• Sensitivity to Cosmetics → ⚠ Must waive liability for potential reactions.
• Thyroid Disturbances → ⚠ Hormone levels must be stable; pigment fading may occur.
• Trichotillomania (Hair-Pulling Disorder) → ⚠ Risk of pulling out tattooed brows.
⏳ Yes, But Only After (Waiting Period & Possibly Medical Clearance Required)
These conditions require a waiting period and/or medical clearance before proceeding. Failure to comply with these requirements may delay or prevent your procedure.
• Under the Age of 18 → ⏳ Must wait until your 18th birthday.
• Compromised skin near the treatment area (e.g., acne, dermatitis, eczema, sun burn, healing scars, etc.) → ⏳ Skin must be fully healed before the procedure.
• Currently Pregnant or Nursing → ⏳ Must wait until after pregnancy/nursing.
• Previous Permanent Makeup → ⏳ Must ensure full fading and proper healing.
• Psoriasis or Eczema (Anywhere on the Body) → ⏳ Skin must be clear in the procedure area.
• Recent COVID-19 Vaccine → ⏳ Must wait 2 weeks.
• Recent Antibiotic Use → ⏳ Must wait 30 days.
• AHA’s or Retinoids Use → ⏳ Must discontinue 2 weeks prior.
• Botox/Injectables in Upper Face → ⏳ Must wait 30 days.
• Recent Chemical or Laser Peel → ⏳ Must wait 6 weeks.
• Keloid Scars / Hypertrophic Scars / Scarring Easily → ⏳ Consultation required with PMU Artist to assess skin and discuss potential risks. If significant scarring history exists, medical clearance may be required.
Medical Clearance Required
💎 For all relevant medical conditions, medical clearance is required prior to the procedure. You are responsible for ensuring that medical documentation is provided before your appointment.
⚠ Medical Clearance Required (Doctor’s Approval Before Proceeding)
These conditions require a doctor’s approval before proceeding. If you have any of these conditions, please ensure you obtain medical clearance from your doctor and provide a signed form before booking your procedure.
• Any condition that slows healing or increases infection risk
• Artificial Heart Valve
• Cancer (Radiation Therapy/Chemotherapy) → ⏳ Must wait at least 1 year after completing treatment.
• Diabetes (Uncontrolled or Insulin-Dependent)
• Epilepsy → ⏳ Must be seizure-free for 6+ months.
• Glaucoma
• Graves’ Disease → ⚠ Hormone levels must be stable; pigment fading may occur.
• Healing Problems / Prolonged Bleeding / Bruise Easily
• High Blood Pressure (Uncontrolled)
• Liver Disease (Severe)
• Low blood pressure (If symptomatic)
❌ Absolutely No (Procedure Cannot Be Done)
Due to significant medical risks, these conditions prevent permanent makeup procedures.
• *Accutane (Isotretinoin) Use in the Last Year
• Hemophilia
• Hepatitis (Active Infection)
• HIV (Untreated or Uncontrolled)

• Signing a liability waiver does not override medical restrictions—these measures are in place to protect your well-being.
• If any medical documentation is required, it must be completed and submitted before your appointment to proceed.
• Failure to disclose medical conditions honestly may result in your appointment being rescheduled or canceled for safety reasons.
Required Forms & Documentation
• If you need medical clearance or a waiver, I will personally guide you through the process. After reviewing your eligibility, I’ll provide the necessary forms via email.
• All required documentation must be completed and submitted before your appointment to ensure a smooth and safe experience.

Additional Considerations
Menstrual Cycle: Scheduling your appointment during your menstrual cycle may result in increased sensitivity. Hormonal fluctuations during menstruation can affect both comfort and healing. To minimize discomfort, it’s best to schedule your procedure when you are not menstruating.
