Avoid sweating on the day of the procedure.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area.

No caffeine or alcohol—these can thin the blood and affect the healing process.
Eat a well-balanced meal before your appointment to maintain energy levels.
Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water for optimal skin health.

Avoid blood thinners (Aspirin, Advil/Ibuprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish/Primrose Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, and “Hair, Skin, and Nail” supplements). Tylenol is OK.
Shave the area 1-2 days prior if necessary, ensuring there are no cuts or irritation. Avoid aggressive exfoliation.

No tanning—if you have a sunburn or noticeable tan lines, your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and you will forfeit your scheduling fee.

No antibiotics—schedule any necessary antibiotics well in advance.

• No laser treatments (e.g., IPL, Fraxel) on the tattoo area for 1 month prior.
